#201 Photoshop Essentials for Photographers

Learn the essential tools and techniques you need to edit your photos with Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. We'll
cover selection tools, tonal adjustments like brightness/contrast, levels and shadow/highlights, cropping, cloning,
touch-up techniques, layers and workflow. We'll explore basic image manipulation with some of Photoshop’s/Photoshop Element’s
filters and functions, too. Bring your laptop loaded with either Adobe Photoshop (CS2 or later) or Adobe Photoshop
Elements (6 or later). You can download free 30-day trial at www.adobe.com just before class begins.

#202 Beyond the Basics - Do More With Adobe Photoshop
(Intermediate Creative Techniques)

You already know the basics of Photoshop and are ready to explore more advanced methods. Develop and express your
artistic vision in new ways with your own images on your computer as you use to improve, alter and create derivations of
your images and artwork. You should have already taken our Introduction to Photoshop class and are familiar with Photoshop's
primary tools. You'll need a laptop with either Photoshop CS2 or later or Photoshop Elements version 8 or 9 installed,
and files of images that you would like to take further in Photoshop.

#203 Making the Most of Your Digital Photos
Instructor: Rob Robinson

OK, you’ve taken all those digital pictures. You think you’ve taken great shots, but
when you look at them, they are washed out, or too dark, or there is that telephone
pole. How can you quickly and easily make each picture look as good as it can?
Learn to use the best and easiest-to-use FREE photo software, Picasa, from Google
(PC and Mac). Learn how to email and share your pictures online using free web space.
Then get creative making collages, video slide shows, wallpapers, movies and YouTube
presentations. Laptop computer is required. Bring your pictures to class.

#205 Introduction to Black and White Photography Darkroom
Instructor: Sue Turconi
Discover the “hands-on” creative side of photography. Work with light and photosensitive materials (supplied). You will
experience the excitement of photograms, cliché-verre, stencils, pinhole and traditional 35mm processing. Bring your
own negatives, stencils, or flat objects to make images.
