Drawing Workshop
Instructor Hodges Soileau
FALL/WINTER 2008/2009 The purpose of this drawing class is to teach students to think more in terms of shapes of a particular size and value, rather than things. Whether a drawing is a tonal drawing, or a linear drwing, the same thing applies. Getting the shapes accurate, especially in the early going is extremely important. The concept of drawing can be made simple, or relatively simple, if one learns to think of things to be drawn as shapes or lines of a particular size and value. I think the primary function of a drawing, whether it is charcoal, graphite, or some other drawing, whether it is charcoal, graphite, or some other drawing tool, is to capture form, line quality, value, and accurate shapes. Time - Monday, Wednesday and Saturday - 9:00am - 4:00 p.m.
Dates - November 3, 5 and 8
Fee - Three day Workshop
