Expressive Portrait/Figure Workshop in Watercolor, Feb. 26-29, 2008
Janet Rogers
WINTER 2008 Students will experience a more natural and intuitive approach to the portrait and figure. The first day, will focus on many exercises, including some drawing - gesture and contour so that students can "connect" in a more expressive manner. Workshop is designed to give students more excitement, energy and confidence when painting the portrait or figure. Exercises are geared to simplify this approach. Students are usually very surprised how quickly they can produce an exciting painting. Demos will flow throughout the workshop, as well as class instruction, individual help and critiques. Janet Rogers has won numerous awards and honors for her paintings and is represented in galleries in Florida, South Carolina and Main. She is also enjoying much popularity as a watercolor instructor and demonstrator for various workshops throughout the United States and Europe.
