Garden Party Café
Take advantage of a cool salad and sandwich at the Garden Party Café -- open for lunch at the Venice Art Center. New at the café is BYOB with a $5 uncorking fee.
Instructor demonstrations for the month of June
The Venice Art Center will be having art demonstrations at 10:30 a.m. Mondays during the month of June. Nancy Colby, watercolorist will be giving at demonstration on Monday, June 2; Caroline Whitmore, watercolorist, on June 9; Josephina Espinosa, glass artist on June 16; and Marilyn Cassidy, will be giving a demonstration on water color and mixed media on June 23. The public is invited to attend.
Family Fun Day
In an effort to give back to the community and to thank them for their support the Venice Art Center, 390 Nokomis Ave. is sponsoring a "family fun day" 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, June 21 in the parking area and grounds of the Art Center. The family fun day is scheduled for children of all ages with games and coloring contests; face painting; art displays and surprises -- food will be served. The Venice Art Center celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and is grateful for the generous support of the community in its effort to bring art and culture to the Venice area.
Game Day at Venice Art Center
On Wednesday, June 4, 10:30 a.m.- 3 p.m, the Venice Art Center, 390 Nokomis Ave. will set up game tables in the main gallery and invites the community to play games of dominoes,mahjong's or cards while enjoying the artwork.Participants should bring their own games.Cost will be $2 per person and lunch is available in the Garden Party Café .Game Day will be held Wednesdays during the summer months at the VAC.
