Pottery - Hand Building Techniques

FALL/WINTER 2007/2008 Whether it is functional or non-functional, traditional or avant-garde, using slab,coil and pinch techniques, you will satisfy that urge to successfully work in clay without the frustration of the wheel. In small classes all levels of students are welcome to explore the many facets of clay including an introduction to a variety of decorative elements. Simple glaze techniques will be covered. If you can think it, you can make it!

If you have had a hankering to get your hands dirty and know that somewhere inside you have the spark of creativity just waiting to see the light of day, then join the class that lets you explore the many facets of clay. Hand building techniques allow the beginner and the advanced student to develop and accomplish finishes ceramic creations without the frustration of learning the wheel. Simple glaze techniques will be explored. You can be successful from day one. Small classes allow for individual attention. Bring your ideas and see them become reality.
